3G repair

Ship Repair Organization Process

1. Preparation for Repair

Preparation for ship repair begins in advance and includes the development of the repair specification, the list of required spare parts, paint, and other supplies.

A pre-repair inspection of the hull is also carried out in accessible areas (including weights, technical specifications, and sketches). 

2. Tenders and Approval

Based on the price lists of repair specifications from various shipyards and a tender for spare parts, the best proposal is selected, considering not only the cost but also the timeframes for performing the work and delivering supplies.

After selecting the best proposal, the final unit rates and the overall preliminary repair cost are agreed upon. 

3. Supervision

During the repair at the shipyard, a company specialist is permanently present.

By agreement with the customer, a technologist may be on board the vessel, whose tasks include marking and monitoring the replacement of hull structures in compliance with technology, as well as determining the exact amount of replaced steel.
